Pay TV Subscriptions in Brazil Economy Rise 18.3 Percent

Pay TV subscriptions in Brazil economy rose 18.3 percent in 2009 according to Anatel as reported by Dow Jones.

Details of the rise include a rise of 32.2 percent in satellite services and a 13.2 percent increase in cable TV subscriptions.

Anatel, the Brazilian Telecommunications Agency, estimates that Brazil economy now has overall 7.47 million households subscribing to pay TV and is a clear sign that the middle class in Brazil continue to get bigger.
